I want to talk about a concept that has played a significant role in my healing journey – the power of our thoughts. As Buddha wisely said, "The mind is everything. What you think you become." This quote has resonated with me deeply, and I'd like to share how the importance of awareness in how we think has transformed my life.

​

 

After leaving an abusive marriage, I had to find ways to get myself out of a very dark and depressive state that I was experiencing. It was during this time that I stumbled upon the book "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay. This book became my guiding light, showing me the path to healing and inner freedom. Louise Hay's teachings emphasized the crucial role our thoughts play in shaping our reality. It was a revelation.

One of the fundamental principles in Louise Hay's book is the idea that our thoughts create our experiences. If we harbour negative, self-destructive thoughts, we are more likely to attract negativity into our lives. On the other hand, when we consciously choose positive thoughts and affirmations, we can transform our lives for the better.

​

 

This realization was a turning point for me. I began to pay close attention to my thought patterns. I noticed the self-critical and limiting beliefs that had been holding me back for so long. It was as if a veil had been lifted, and I could finally see how my own thinking had contributed to my suffering.

​

 

With determination, I started to replace those negative thoughts with positive affirmations. The process wasn't easy, but I was committed to breaking free from the cycle of abuse and negativity.

​

 

Slowly but surely, I felt a shift within me. The more I focused on positive thoughts, the more positivity I attracted into my life. It was like a ripple effect, spreading through every aspect of my existence. I also embraced the power of gratitude and meditation as tools to help me stay centred and maintain my newfound awareness.

As I continued on this journey of self-discovery and transformation, I found the strength to rise above my fears. I realized that I could create the life I desired, one filled with love, peace, and fulfilment. My journey towards inner freedom had truly begun.

Today, I stand here as someone who has experienced the profound impact of changing my thought patterns. The journey wasn't without its challenges, but it was worth every step. I am proof that when we become aware of our thoughts and choose to think positively, we can reshape our lives in remarkable ways.

​

 

I want to encourage every woman out there who may be facing their own struggles, whether it's in an abusive relationship or any other difficult circumstance, to remember the power of their thoughts. You have the ability to change your life by changing your thinking. It's not an overnight process, but with patience, self-love, and determination, you can heal and find the inner freedom you deserve.
